This Privacy Policy explains how Quell Media, a sole proprietorship owned by Tommy Bossenbrook in Bozeman, Montana ("Quell Media," "we," "us") handles personal information. It applies to visitors to realquellmedia.com, to businesses that work with us, and to people who appear in our videos. We keep this simple: we collect only what we need, and we do not sell your personal information.
1. Information we collect
- When you contact us: your name, email address, business details and anything else you include in your message.
- Clients: contact and billing details needed to provide and invoice our services, plus tax forms such as a W-9 where required. Payments are handled by third-party payment providers. We don't store full card or bank numbers.
- People we film: your name, contact information, optional social media handle, your signed release, and the video, photos and audio we record, including your image, voice and what you say.
- Website visitors: the Site has no contact forms, advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically processes basic technical data, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to deliver and protect the Site. If we add analytics in the future, we'll update this policy.
2. How we use it
- To respond to you, provide our services, schedule shoots and send invoices.
- To produce, edit and deliver videos, and to use them as described in each person's signed release, including in our portfolio.
- To keep records required by law, such as tax and business records.
- To keep the Site secure and working.
3. How we share it
- With the business you were filmed for. If you appear in a video, we deliver it to that business, which may use it as your release allows.
- With service providers that help us run the business, such as email (Google Workspace), forms (Google Forms), website hosting (Cloudflare), file delivery and payment processors. They may use the information only to provide their services.
- Publicly, when you've agreed. Videos and testimonials may be posted on websites and social media as your release or testimonial permission allows.
- For legal reasons, if required by law or to protect our rights, safety or property.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising.
4. Your choices
- You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you.
- If you appear in a video and no longer want it used in new posts or ads, email us and we'll stop new use within a reasonable time. Content that was already published, or that a client already posted on its own channels, may stay up. We'll pass your request along to the client.
- You can opt out of any non-essential emails from us at any time.
We'll honor reasonable requests whether or not a specific state privacy law applies to us. We may need to verify your identity first.
5. How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Signed releases are kept for as long as the related video is in use, plus a reasonable period afterward. Business and tax records are kept as long as the law requires.
6. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, such as access-controlled accounts and two-factor authentication where available. No system is perfectly secure, though, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
The Site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information online. We don't film anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian's signed consent.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Effective" date above shows when it last changed.
9. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].
